My Story

Hello!

My name is Kenna and I live in a small town north of Kansas City.  My passions are Jesus, family (including friends) as well as my job.  I have one husband, Corey and a 14-year-old son, Michael.  We love to camp, travel, go to the beach, entertain family and friends.

I grew up in the catering/restaurant business and have been around the food industry my entire life.  Once I had Michael, I switched careers and took a secretarial position with the high school.  Let me just say great hours!  After 5 years, I quit and went to work with my brother again.  I am now currently in the real estate business and I love my job!

In October of 2016, I was diagnosed with diabetes.  Needless to say, that was such a shock.  Since being in the food business where my job was to make sure the food tasted great and the portion sizes were large, I went on a diet plan with no taste and very small portions.  Crazy how life works.  But, I am trying to change how my family eats without sacrificing taste. Finding and trying out new recipes is fun for me. It relaxes me to cook when there is time. I also like to find recipes that are quick and easy for the busy times.

Crafting is what I do when the boys are gone farming, fishing or whatever plans they come up with. It is my own time in my own space. Sometimes I make cards, I enjoy doing Chalk Couture, making wreaths or any project someone needs done.

Like I said, sometimes I cook and sometimes I craft. You really can’t go wrong with either.
