I LOVE purses! Big, small, blue and black. They are all beautiful. However, I want them to be leather. Real, soft genuine leather. It must be as soft as a baby blanket and have that new leather smell. Classic lines, shape keeper with multiple pockets.
It all started when I went shopping with my sisters and best friend. We went to the outlet mall and they had a Coach outlet. When we opened the door, I inhaled the sweet, musty smell of leather and I was hooked. I wanted them all. My first bag was a Willis bag and it was hunter green. I used that bag for two years and it maintained and looked brand new until I bought my second one.
Very few people at the time owned a Coach bag. I would go to visit my parents and they had a exceptional outlet mall 20 minutes from their house. What do you know? They had Coach, Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Dooney & Bourke. I was in heaven. I would go into every store and see what they had before I would make my final selection. Who had the best sales? Which purse did I like best. What color was going to be this year’s pick? So many choices.
What I like about purses is that it fits no matter what. Size doesn’t matter and neither did labels. As a result they all fit. Purses are sort of like shoes. You can change the color and style with whatever you are wearing. Like the icing on the cake.
I have multiple purses that are on my wish list. When I accomplish this, I will purchase this purse. Oh! I need a crossbody. Oh! I need a travel bag.
As the years have gone by, so have the handbags. I have kept some and they are now considered vintage. Everywhere you look someone has a Coach, Kate Spade, and Michael Kors. I need to expand my horizons so I can try other brands. I’m thinking Burberry! Have to go shopping. The only question is “What purse am I going to take”
